Regional laser safety courses are offered
at different dates and locations throughout the year and are designed to
establish and/or build on pre-existing knowledge to deliver a complete and
comprehensive education. For more information regarding these courses,

Most of these courses, as well as others,
are also available as on-site training
packages.

Basic Laser Safety
Courses are designed to give the student a solid introduction to
the topics presented in each course. Students with limited
laser/optics background are ideal candidates for these courses. |

Principles of Lasers and Laser Safety (L-125) $795.00

| This two-day introductory level course is designed to give the participant with limited laser and optics background a solid introduction to lasers and safety concepts based upon ANSI Z136.1, FDA/CDRH, OSHA, and state requirements. |
| Attendees are eligible for 16 CEC’s Awarded by AAHP. |

Intermediate Laser
Safety Courses anticipate that the student will have a general
understanding of laser/optics. These courses primarily assume a
general knowledge on the part of the student and concentrate on
developing the concepts of the course topics in greater depths. |

Laser Safety Officer (L-222) $1,550.00

| This intermediate level course provides an in-depth, analytical review of the LSO duties and requirements of ANSI Z136.1, OSHA, FDA-CDRH and state laser standards. After a review of the biological basis, the student will complete an in-depth computation workshop that covers MPE, AEL, NHZ and OD factors. |
| Attendees are eligible for 4 ABIH Credits
and 32 CEC's Awarded by AAHP. |

Laser Safety Officer Refresher Course (L-226) $395.00

| This one-day course is ideal for the LSO who has attended a laser safety course prior to the publication of the American National Standard for Safe Use of Lasers, ANSI Z136.1-2007. This course is designed to update you on the changes in the ANSI Z136.1 standard, which was published in May of 2007. The topics covered in this course will assist you in managing your laser safety program and keep you current with the standard. A sample of these topics include: the new classification system, medical surveillance, and non-beam hazards. |

Advanced Laser
Safety Courses are designed to enhance the breadth of knowledge
and job skills of a student who is already proficient in the
course area. |

Advanced Laser Safety Officer (L-320) $1,595.00

| This advanced level course is designed for experienced laser safety officers (LSOs). This course is conducted in lecture and "student involvement" format where specific, real-world, laser safety scenarios will be evaluated. |
| Attendees are eligible for 3 ABIH CM Credits and/or 16 CEC's Awarded by AAHP. |

Specialty Laser
Safety Courses are designed to provide a more focused approach
within a particular field. Students attending these courses should
have a general knowledge of laser safety and have attended at
least one Basic Level course or equivalent. |

Non-Ionizing Radiation (R-280) $995.00

| This three-day introductory course will include five modules: introduction to non-ionizing radiation, broadband ultraviolet radiation (UVR), laser radiation, broadband radio-frequency radiation (RFR), and extremely low frequency (ELF) electric and magnetic fields. |
